My laptop have an ATI HD2600M and is, of course, affected by this problem.
In fact, i can't even boot on the desktop cd (neither alpha 6 nor beta) WITH DEFAULT SETTINGS, because xorg don't want to start ! I know this bug is due to the restricted driver but why the display doesn't work with the free driver neither ? It worked with hardy..
I can see the xorg and xserver logs to report the bug, but i have no idea how i can save them anywhere. Any idea ? (Write it on a paper is far too long... and i don't have a photo device)...
