Solution by Omega does not work

for HD 720p movies

I use x11 in smplayer. when i run a 720p movie, it drops frames a Lot=unwatchable. when I select opengl instead, the video is smooth, but there's blinking and tearing.

I have no complains with x11 with normal resolution movies. but, i can't watch 720p movies with x11. it's too laggy. What should I do?
