To have the buddy list always flying around the desktop isn't a very good idea, IMHO.

To minimize #1, what about drawing a separator line between the "dangerous" options, like the one already drawed between "Lock screen" and "Logout"?

Another solution would be to increase the size ("height") of the menu items. That way, each option would have a larger click area, reducing the probability of a mistake.
