Just to "ping" this bug and stress its importance:
Lucid release is near and Ubuntu is shipping (again) a photo manager (its "official" photo manager...) with a critical bug which cause (VOLUNTARY) DATA CORRUPTION. Yes, data corruption: no other definition possible, because the software do not tell the user that it's going to modify its data.
