I agree. It doesn't work at all. It just removes the messages when
marked read. I have the following evolution packages:

evolution 2.24.1-0ubuntu2
evolution-common 2.24.1-0ubuntu2
evolution-data-server 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
evolution-data-server-common 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
