I downloaded the evince source in karmic (which I am now testing) to try to paste the code above and... it's already there. In fact, the bug is fixed in karmic.

We did not see this as there where no comments on this on the upstream bug, but as devs where busier fixing it, that's only good news.

@David Siegel: perhaps there's room for another paper cut in the list then?
