I've a kensington si600 and it works fine with evince and openoffice, i don't have windows so can't test with office, but anyways feel free to forward this upstream, for forwarding instructions take a look to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME ; leaving this as incomplete until that.
