I can confirm this too.

My gnome-popup-message is:
There is data that needs to be written to the device SAMSING SP1604N before it can be removed. Please do not remove the media or disconnect the drive"

Followed by another popup:
"Cannot" eject volume"

I'm sure that there are no files to tranfer.
