Just to add to the voices being affected by this bug. Everyone in Ireland using an Eircom router (00,000's of customers) will encounter this issue. It is crazy, I logged on here to read about it and I can't believe it was pointed out weeks ago and nothing was done about it.

No point in blaming 'the router' or anything upstream. All I know is everything was fine in Hardy, everything is fine in Windows 7. Hell, if I load up a Windows XP VM in Virtualbox within Karmic, DNS lookups work flawlessly from the same router!!

Very disappointing.
