Ack don't use wicd if you have a netbook and use the ath5k driver (still very beta nice way to put it) as suspend and resume hose up the ath5k driver (pretty sure Network Manager handles this by doing an rmmod and modprobe). These network issues are precisely why Windows is owning Linux on the netbooks. I got mine running fine but not everyone has a CS degree. Most people just want it to work out of the box. Oh well maybe next version.
