Thanks for the clarification, apologies for the emotive nature of my contributions, but I find some of the other contributions here exasperating!

I presume Ubuntu 8.04 had IPV6 out of the box and it was fine, if it used the solution as suggested in #111 then that would appear to be the best way forward.
