Unfortunately 87-0ubuntu1.1~ppa1 from https://launchpad.net/~ecryptfs/+archive/ppa does *not* fix this for me:

mbp@grace% ecryptfs-mount-private

Perhaps try the interactive 'ecryptfs-mount-private'
