It doesn't really look like this new Debian version contains any significant changes. This can be seen clearly in the Ubuntu->Ubuntu debdiff. I personally would recommend waiting to merge until the next debian/upstream release. In the meantime, you can file a bug on the BTS to try and reduce the Ubuntu delta so that we can sync drgeo again. On a different note, you also have some changes being made to the man page that are not mentioned in your changelog entry. Were these intentional?
