I pinged the support guys about whether they are ok with supporting dnsmasq as well. Personally I don't like it much because it duplicates functionality with dhcp3-server (which has been our supported DHCP server forever), and especially for an LTS we invested a lot of work to reduce packages with duplicate functionality, not increase it.

I understand, though, that it is nontrivial to make kvm work with dhcp3-server, so I consider it.

Got the support team's blessing, package is ok for main in principle. Before promotion, please fix the following bugs:

 - LSBification of init script
 - do not stop dnsmasq in levels 1 and 6 ("update-rc.d multiuser"). The init script just SIGTERMs the process (which happens anyway), and removes the pid from /var/run (which isn't necessary since this is a tmpfs) (not a blocker for promotion, but let's keep main clean in that regard).

Package can be promoted after FF, since those are just bugs. kvm is blocked on other things as well, so this is not critical path.

For the record, kvm was approved and promoted a while ago, so dnsmasq should be fixed soon.
