I have the same problem as segler.

fstab:
/dev/mapper/home /home ext4 defaults 0 2

crypttab:
home /dev/sda4 none luks

I type my passphrase, the system unlocks the partition and waits indefinitely.

As a quick fix:
  * Press M (to get the shell).
  * mount /home
  * Control + D
