Someone uninformed enough to paste "rm -fr /" into a terminal because someone on a forum told them to is also uninformed enough to paste "rm -fr --no-preserve-root /" or "cd ~/; sudo rm -fr ../../*" or "rm -fr /lib" or "rm -fr /usr" or blindly type yes/click OK on the manditory warning dialog, which most people do anyway with dire consequences. I fail to see the point.

Also, anyone not double-checking (tripple if needed) their data-destroying scripts (or one-liners) for type-os before execution, 'seasoned linux user' or not, deserves what they get when they hit 'enter.'

Changes of this nature are destructive to the philosophy of *nix, and is a step closer to the laughable click-the-dialog-box security of Windows Vista.
