Can anyone find the upstream bug for this? I cant seem to find one !
This bug has been for ~2yrs and hasnt been sent upstream?

Travis raises a valid concern that upstream is blocking this bug , and in future version might even make the hack impossible !

IMO , its better to reason it out with upstream devs and do something proper about it [hack or a proper fix]
