First of all: It's fine to sync this and I'm happy to ACK the sync. This sync does not require a Feature Freeze exception, but even if it would that could be arranged.
The thing is: generally we sync to
- explicitly drop Ubuntu changes (that are in Debian now or are not needed any more) and have packages in sync or
- explicitily (after Debian Import Freeze) import important fixes from Debian
As I said in the previous comment, it's always work to get something synced. Just let me know why this sync is important and we'll get it done.
