I have also had this problem over the last couple of days. I'm attempting to burn a copy of Fedora 9 for use on an old server machine. My main machine is running Ubuntu 8.10. Have tried burning with Brasero 0.8.2. No errors received while burning the CD (have tried on three different CD-RWs, not all from same manufacturer). Have also tried downloading image using wget and bittorrent to try and ensure it is not a corrupt image.

Error when mounting:
Unable to mount Fedora 9 i386 Disc 1
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Note that I don't always see the error dialog, even though there are errors reported in the syslog.

At first I thought the burner might be on its way out, but the same message appears when the disc is loading into the secondary DVDROM drive, so I can't be entirely sure.

Example from DVD-RW drive from /var/log/syslog:

Note that the sectors that cause the error are the same on both drives...
I'm not 100% convinced this is a bug as I've seen DVD-RW just keel over and die in the past. It'd be nice to have confirmation that it's definitely the hardware before I replace the unit though.

A few others have reported receiving similar DBUS errors (this week) here:
