My laptop is running jaunty with the latest intel driver from xorg-edgers and i confirm i have the same bug in window mode. As a workaround, it works great in fullscreen.

lspci -v | grep VGA

IMHO I don't think it's a blender bug because i didn't have this problem with my other desktop with nvidia driver.
