Thanks for your feedback.

A few months ago I worked on bug #1934997 and had to devise a Test Plan to reproduce it. I think it covers most of what you said above: setting up a Samba AD DC and joining the realm from another client (using realmd and sssd). I believe you can use that as a base for writing a Test Plan for this bug. Feel free to adjust it as needed, of course.

I also intend to perform tests over here in order to make sure that things will still work OK after the proposed change.
