I am attaching the requested /var/log/installer/syslog file off a fresh amd64 Feisty server install. I'm not sure, maybe just the regular desktop install is affected? However, my /var/log/installer/syslog file shows that the feisty-updates repositories were consulted during the install. Furthermore, as seen below, all my apt list files have the feisty-updates repositories enabled out of the box:
===============================================
rouben@feisty:~$ grep -v ^\# /etc/apt/sources.list | grep updates
deb http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-updates main restricted
deb-src http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-updates main restricted
===============================================
What I'm trying to say is that I am *unable* to reproduce this issue on a fresh install of Feisty server amd64 edition.
