I at first marked this a duplicate of Bug #224945, but I see now that you're not dealing with SSL. In which case I'm interested in reproducing this bug (and I un-marked it duplicate).

Would it be possible for you to determine an Apache bench (ab) command that you can run to reproduce this problem reliably, and quicker than within 4 hours?
