Same problem with Lucid Beta in Acer Aspire One 532h. Neither gnome-sound-recorder nor skype work out of the box. But they both work with the following command:
/bin/sh -c "PULSE_SERVER=127.0.0.1 program-name"
What does it mean? That ALSA is hogging the microphone, and setting the Pulse Server to localhost makes the mike available? Or is it the other way around?
