Hi miegiel,

I appreciate your debugging and I think it is likely this bug is due to pulse or some interaction with alsa. I will try your left/right trick. In general, as long as I do not use pulse, I seem to be OK. I have no problem running Skype like this:

PULSE_SERVER=127.0.0.1 /usr/bin/skype

as I described in post #12. good luck...
