Comment 7 for bug 443318

I am experiencing the same problem, on an acer laptop as well. When konsole locks up other applications still behave normally but switching to the console (CTRL-Fn) doesn't work either. Konsole tabs cannot be closed. Choosing to reboot through the menu will initiate a reboot but takes so long i have never seen it actually come through.
