Quick comments:
 - We probably don't need control.in in this package - am I right in thinking this is primarily used for the Debian-specific uploaders field? (uploaders.mk in rules is part of this too)
 - Short description doesn't make clear what the package is. Probably doesn't need to mention Universe and does need to mention briefly the plugins it installs
