Thanks, too, for helpful instructions.

All requested files are in attachment. They reveal that 2.6.27-11 does not load the module for the Realtek RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller.

There has been one or two boots to 2.6.27-11 when the module has loaded, but I have not been able to capture log for these boot. If it happens again I'll repeat your instructions and attach files.
