I'm also experiencing trouble with this module. I've got one of the low-cost Dell Vostro A860 laptops.

It still works but badly, it oftens disables itself (simply no function anymore without any obvious reason). I then have to do 'sudo ifdown eth0' 'sudo ifup eth0' to make it work again (but only for a limited time (which is different every time)).
