Alexander, thanks, for the insight, seems sane, and I believe you'll know best what firefox users might want in regards to the upgrade path.
Scott: good point. Subscribed motu-swat.
Finally, this is a tough decision for me. Personally, I think for intrepid's release it'd be best to go ahead with this plan. However as I stated previosly, I'd like to hear from our stable supporting teams first, if they're happy with it as well. Since Scott raised a good point, I've also subscribed motu-swat, any feedback is welcome.
