Many of the Brother drivers are in multiverse now, but many of the brother-drivers-lpr* packages still need a packaging fix and had to be rejected.
BTW, I propose to give a try to
sed -i 's_/usr/local_/usr/././._g
the affected binaries which hardcode /usr/local/.
