Or...the fonts folder could simply be visible and there by default? The install option for font extensions would be nice too i suppose. Because as it stands installing fonts can easly leave people scratching their heads if they don't know how to install them already. :/ If ubuntu is going to be user friendly this is one of the things that should be done.
