Strace of Firefox 3.0b5 on Linux

Throwing in an additional strace. This is the result of strace -fte open,close,write,fsync. During this 150-second run, Firefox writes an incredible 34MB of crap (and then, of course, periodically fsyncs). The write storm starts at timestamp 00:02:36. File 80 is urlclassifier3.sqlite-journal and 44 is urlclassifier3.sqlite. Output to these files continues quite heavily until the browser shuts down at 00:03:20.
