shocking, great, absolutely awesome:

my urlclassifier3.sqlite file auto-magically changed in size from 9.8MB to 17.6MB, without ANY apparent hard drive thrashing at all. But I may not have been using Firefox actively at that moment-- I'll be sure to play again, more acrtively, opening tabs and typing into text boxes, when the "stale" timer expires again in a little less than 45 mins.
