I'm not sure if this is related to this bug. The german translation of gcalctool (in lucid, 5.28.2) misses some menu strings, like "Edit", "Undo", "Redo" or "Insert ASCII value".

The launchpad translation page for gcalctool shows no missing strings.

An update for gnome-translations-de (or whatever these packages are called) was installed a few hours ago and the translation strings are still missing.
