Bug Description

On https://edge.launchpad.net/debian/+source/gpt there is no record for gpt being in Debian unstable, yet http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gpt.html shows 1.0.4-3 being uploaded to sid more than a week ago.
https://edge.launchpad.net/debian/+source/libhildonhelp is another example of this - the missing records mean that requestsync cannot work properly for syncing from unstable.

A closer look shows me that the Latest Version: 1.0.4-1 on the page links to the package record in sid ( https://edge.launchpad.net/debian/+source/gpt/1.0.4-1 ), however it is still out of date.

So it seems that gina is correctly seeing older versions that are already imported and ignoring those (now that with bug 529950 src_map is a list containing multiple versions of the source). But it doesn't help us see why it's not processing the newer sources, which should also be in src_map.

See also 576193 which could be a dupe of this.

Steve Kowalik (stevenk) wrote :

The indirect cause is caused by the Debian mirror not being updated that gina is pulling from has an incomplete entry for Files, which causes the mirror to fail to sync, so the indices (Sources.gz and related paraphernalia) don't get updated.

The direct cause is a bug in apt-ftparchive installed on ftp-master.debian.org which is generating the master indices.

The new apt-ftparchive has been installed on ftp-master and the Sources.gz no longer has the issue. The mirror has been updated and the new source versions have been imported.
