Maybe it is not a bug of poppler but of cairo? On the freedesktop bug, someone writes "I don't think this is a poppler bug...".
Also, I would propose high priority, because printing .pdf files is a very common task in everyday's use.? Just imagine, how much ink is wasted these days, just because people think, this is a matter of dirty printing heads... ;)
