I'm not sure if our experience differs or if I did not explain my proposed solution well enough. I find that I have no difficulty getting the resize pointer to appear momentarily while moving across the window border, the problem lies in actually clicking while the resize pointer is active. The proposed solution would fix that, since the resize pointer will remain active for several pixels once activated.

In any case, so long as a working solution if shipped in Natty I guess I'm satisfied!
