Seems as I got close to get a better debug patch together, upstream has made more C1E related fixes which should solve hangs on boot. A kernel that contains the latest changes can be found at http://people.ubuntu.com/~smb/bug254668/linux-image-2.6.27-4-generic_2.6.27-4.6smb1_i386.deb

@Antonio, this message is normal and indicates no problem. If there are problems they arise from something completely different. You should put that into a separate bug.
