Hi,

A patch for basic retry support client-side is already available. I
believe that Leonard has already discussed it with Kees.

I also have battle-tested retry code available, so I think some
improvement wouldn't take much effort at all.

If you are thinking of more extensive changes then consideration of
scheduling is understandable.
