They need to be redesigned to solve a real problem in launchpad. This is not a bug, it is a feature. It needs specification. I am not certain this feature would be needed it we solved categorisation because a project many be a part of many other projects.
Bug 294159 [Cannot nest project groups] Some users want multiple nested project groups. I cannot fathom why. If we really wanted nested, we should make projects nested instead--there would not be any need for a group.
