Comment 1 for bug 420198

One thing that will help here is making it easier to keep the ec2test image updated wrt sourcecode and the launchpad branch etc. This is well in progress now.

The other two main things I see are:

1) Not checking out the download-cache from scratch each time.
2) Running 'make build' after detaching.

I'll see about doing these things soon.
