Contact addresses impossible to remove from teams

Bug Description

https://edge.launchpad.net/~<any launchpad team>/+editemails allows you to remove addresses from "These addresses may also be yours:"

However, when you actually click "remove" on one of them, you get the message "The email address '<email address hidden>' has been removed." (or whatever the email you want to remove is), yet the email address still appears under your email addresses, even when the page is refreshed.

This doesn't appear to be the intended behavior.

To change a team's contact address you should use https://launchpad.net/~team-name/+contactaddress

The +editemails page is supposed to be available only for people and should not be linked to from a team's page. Did you get to that page by following a link somewhere or by manually crafting the URL?

As explained on bug 174453, there's a link to ~team/+editemail on a team's page. That's the actual bug, so I'm rejecting this for now.

Changed in launchpad:
status: New → Invalid

It was not manually crafted, it was listed as "manage addresses" from the email portal of the team page, of which one is an administrator of.

So, how is one supposed to remove old contact addresses now? One cannot do this from the +contactaddress. I can't see why you would not want to allow teams to remove old contact addresses. It appears that one cannot use the old contact address for something else, unless one manages to actually get it removed from +contactaddress.

I think this is still a legitimate bug.

The "Manage addresses" link on a team's page points to +editemail, which is a 404.

On the +contactaddress page you can change your team's contact address to a new address or remove the existing one, by making all notifications go to the team be sent to each of the team's members.

hm, okay, I was wrong. It appears that you are allowed to use old email addresses still in +editemails in other teams. In which case, this dialog isn't needed, and i'll agree with your "invalid" status :)
