Comment 7 for bug 482993

I just tried the official 0.47 on a Snow L., works fine, but ran into this. This workaround worked for me:

$ defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.versioner.python Version 2.5

Just adding a random data point. I will gladly test any fixes proposed here (if they don't require compilation, I haven't yet set development environment on OSX).
