Comment 65 for bug 482993

Hi,
Firstly, I'm not a developer. I just wanted to say thank you for fixing this long running bug. Its going to be great to have this issue finally fixed. Thank you guys for your hard work and persistence.

Secondly, while I was here I saw that you wanted people to try the updated (beta?) version.

I have downloaded the latest version r9888-10.5+Universal.dmg ( http://inkscape.modevia.com/macosx-snap/Inkscape-r9888-10.5+-UNIVERSAL.dmg )

I don't have macports or anything fancy like that- I'm just an 'ordinary' mac user. However I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.5. I uninstalled my previous version of Inksacpe before trying this beta.

Unfortunately Inkscape r9888 won't launch for me I get this error "Inkscape encountered and internal error and will close now"
