Okay, I've updated the nightlies to hopefully fix this problem. The first build with this fix is r9873

Could people please test this build and give feedback?

I've tested it on four machines with a mix of 10.5/10.6 and with/without Macports. If the fix works for others, I'll commit it to Bazaar.

What I've done:
1) Made /usr/bin be at the beginning of the path when running Inkscape, so the MacOS python version is used.
2) Added VERSIONER_PYTHON_PREFER_32_BIT=yes to force use of the 32-bit python.
