@Michael - could you please test the attached patch on Snow Leopard and consider it for the upcoming release of Inkscape 0.48.1 to make extensions work on Snow Leopard with the currently bundled python modules (32bit)?

(tested with Inkscape 0.48.1 r9699 on OS X 10.5.8 to make sure it doesn't break things on Leopard).
