You could use the attached extension to get some basic information about the python version Inkscape calls, and the modules it loads (lxml, numpy). Put both files (debug.inx, debug.py) into '~/.config/inkscape/extensions' and relaunch Inkscape. The script is listed as 'Extensions > Debug > Python module info'.
