Comment 40 for bug 482993

Wow-- what happened to this being targeted for milestone Inkscape 0.48 "0.48"?

I'm surprised that it didn't at least merit a mention on the list of known issues -- "oh by the way, the extensions menu doesn't work on all platforms."
