Comment 12 for bug 482993

Statusupdate:
I tried the recent snapshot Inkscape-r9333-10.5+-UNIVERSAL from http://inkscape.modevia.com/macosx-snap/?C=M;O=D today on a stock OS X 10.6.3 (without any aditional python installation, MacPorts or Fink stuff).

So far inkscape starts and works, but extensions still fail to work with this error message:

"The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required by inkex.py and therefore this extension. Please download and install the latest version from http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/lxml/, or install it through your package manager by a command like: sudo apt-get install python-lxml"
